Yanceyville-
Wilson Stephen Gwynn, 66, transitioned on April 11, 2019 at Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell. He was the son of the late Wilson Gwynn and Mayrine Brown Gwynn. He was married to Nancy Lanier Gwynn who survives.
Wilson was employed with the Caswell County maintenance division. He enjoyed doing things outside which include washing his car and working in the yard. He also enjoyed fixing things and loved hot rods. He was a member of Graves Chapel Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife: Nancy Lanier Gwynn of the home; one son: Michael Gwynn of Massachusetts; two daughters: Jacqueline Gwynn of Durham and Ashley Keene (Steve) also of Durham, his mother: Mayrine Brown Gwynn of Yanceyville; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Slade (Darnell) of Yanceyville and Tammy Hamlett of Durham; eight grandchildren: Tyqwisha Gwynn, Steven Keene, Quentin Keene, Zipporah Gwynn, Victoria Keene, Zariel Gwynn, Jaython Jackson and Isaiah Keene; four sisters in law: Odessa Gwynn of Yanceyville, Genette B. Lanier of Reidsville, Eucile Ballenger (Daniel) of Garner, NC, and Cleasther Perkins of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers in law: Leander Lanier (Joan) of Java, VA, Carlton Lanier (Pansy) also of Java, VA, and James “Jim” Jones of Memphis, TN, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, family and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother: Woodrow Gwynn, a sister: Frances Jones and a brother in law: Jerry Lanier.
