Bettie Jane (Watkins) Thomas

Bettie Jane Watkins Thomas was born on September 18, 1952 to the late Theodore Mims and Myrtle Watkins in Rockingham County. She was married to the late Robert Thomas.

Bettie was a successful independent sales director with Mary Kay. Bettie enjoyed fishing and traveling and online shopping. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two children: Thomas W. Williamson Jr. (Latosha) of Orlando, FL and Kizzy Bradsher (Ricky) of Whitsett; sisters: Deary Jean Montague (Jessie) of Richmond, Bessie Ann Watkins of Yanceyville, Alycia Davis of New Jersey and Syvlia Womack; grandchildren: Douglas Clark, O’lawndra Bushnell (Jerome), Tyree Bradsher, Da’mon Coleman, Makinzzy Bradsher, Jahmal Williamson and Ahmad Williamson; great grandchildren: Ezra Bushnell, Emoni Bushnell, Camille Bushnell and Damarien Whitted, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Richard Watkins and sister Beverly Motley.
