Carol Smallwood

Carol went home to be with our Lord and Savior after a long fight with cancer. She is the mother of five children, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Smallwood, who was the love of her life, her son Quincey Smallwood, and her parents Floyd and Mabel Martin of Kentucky.

She was the youngest of seven children which have all preceded her in death: Alma, Louie, Bill, Lucille, Martha, Lorene and Evelyn.

Carol is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mike and wife Angela Martin of Ruffin, Michelle and husband Buster Leverrette of Burgaw, Gwyn Hill of Wilmington and Will and wife Lynn Hill of Prospect Hill; nine grandchildren Casey, Amanda, Brandon, Adam, Kayla, Blake, Dawson, Noah and Caitlyn as well as five great grandchildren.

Carol loved the Lord and was ready to go home to be with her family in heaven. Carol will be deeply missed and her family will love and cherish the time and memories together. We know we will see her and be together again.
