Darryl Yellock

n Tuesday, June 28 ,2021 Darryl Leon Yellock Sr. departed this life after a brief illness.

He was born September 13, 1965, to the late Claude R. Yellock and Wilhelmina P. Yellock.  Darryl did everything in his own unique way, always filling the room with joy and laughter. He had his own personal relationship with Christ.

Darryl graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in 1983. After high school, he served in the US Army National Guard as an army food service specialist.  After working technical and mechanical jobs for different co-operations he settled into working in construction with his brother-in-law for over 20 years.  His handy work can be seen all over the county.

Darryl was formerly married to Cassandra Lea, and they were blessed with three children.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters: Naquita Yellock and Brittaney Yellock; one son Darryl Yellock Jr.  Three granddaughters:  Caidence Trinidad, Jaylen Yellock, and Nala Petree- Yellock. His mother, Wilhelmina Yellock. Three sisters; Gwendolyn Vaughn, Ximenia Perkins, LaTonya Pennix. One brother; Jarvis Len Yellock. One sister-in-law; Daphne Yellock. Three bothers-in-law; Benny Vaughn, Hamilton Perkins and Shawn Pennix. A multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.   

Darryl treasured nothing more than spending time with and enjoying family.  Second to that would be his love of fishing.

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself… Matthew 6:34
