Dwight (Ikey) Singletary, loving son, father, brother and uncle of Dover, NJ passed away on June 9, 2021 at the age of 57. Ikey was born in Reidsville, NC on August 4, 1963 to Lemar Singletary Sr (predeceased) and Margaret Singletary of Reidsville where he lived for a short while until relocating to Morristown, NJ as a child. He graduated from Morristown High School and Chubb Institute. As the fourth of six children, he learned how to compassionately care for others at an early age as the big-little brother and uncle.
Ikey was always serious about his work at Givaudan Corp, his NY Giants and making sure to check in on family and friends. Ikey lived his life sharing love, laughter, and spirited stories about the good old days with family and friends. He especially enjoyed visiting NC and spending what he called relaxing-couch time with his mother and hearing stories about back-in-the-day. He shared his love and friendship with his Aunt Ann Blackwell of Ruffin, NC, his niece Monica Singletary (predeceased), Erica Singletary of Dover, NJ, and their children, along with his good friend and fishing buddy Earl White.
Ikey was blessed with and survived by his three loving children, Brittany, Jazman, and Isaiah of Morristown, NJ who affectionately called him Papichuelo, sister Willadean Moore (Mack) of Reidsville, NC, sister Kelly Bass (predeceased), brother Lemar Singletary, Reidsville, NC, sister Janet Jackson, Charlotte, NC, sister Sekena Singletary, Eden, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he held dear to his heart.
