Evangelist Pattie Garland

Evangelist Pattie Marie Swann Garland who resided at 1315 A N Beaumont CT for more than twenty years transitioned from this earthly life while residing at Authoracare Collective Burlington Campus.

She was born to the late James Henry and Ruth Carter Swann February 26, 1939, in Milton, NC.  She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Evangelical Temple of Christ Holiness Church in Milton, NC where in the 1990's became an Evangelist . Married the late Joseph Edward Garland and to this union was blessed with ten children, two preceded her in death, James Douglas and Lance Matthew Garland. Others who preceded her in death one brother James Henry Swann Jr., sisters Susie May Swann and Nannie Ruth Chandler. She was a devoted mother, loved spending time with her sisters, faithful church member and friend until declining health.

Some of her many accomplishments include Evangelist, CNA and helping others whether giving them rides to work or just wherever they wanted to travel. She also loved to play horseshoes, puzzles, bowling, farming and fishing.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories children Elder Edward Garland (Louise), Robert Garland (Juanita), David Garland (Ernestine), Mason Garland all of Burlington, NC, Betty Garland Graves, Durham, NC, Mary Garland, Reidsville, NC, Shirley Garland Smith Green Level, NC and Barry Garland, Greensboro, NC. Siblings, Cecil McCain, Julia (Pastor Samuel Harris), Alberta Jones, Myrtlean Swann all of Burlington, NC and Roberta McGhee, Leasburg, NC. 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will be meeting at the home of her son Robert Garland 807 Lynnwood Dr. Burlington, NC.
