Mother Fannie Beatrice Jeffers, 77, made her transition on October 13, 2021. Fannie was born in Caswell County on September 4, 1944 to the late David Lea and Willie Esther Wilson. After the passing of her mother at a young age, she was raised by the only mother she ever knew: Mary Lea.
Mother Jeffers was a caring, nurturing woman of God who loved the Lord and loved church. She was a member of Solid Rock True Holiness Church of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. There she served as a mother and missionary until her health declined. Mother Jeffers loved serving others and operated in the ministry of help. She was a true caregiver at heart. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and visiting the beach.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted husband: Charlie Jeffers of the home; her children: Tyrone Lea, Benita Torsell (Dewayne) of Whitemarsh, MD, Monica Clayborne of Danville, VA, and Randy McCain of Alexandria, VA; a son in law Kenneth Clayborne, daughter in law Roveta McCain; step children: Helen Jeffers, Allison Jeffers, Anthony Jeffers and Carlton Jeffers, her brothers: Robert Lea (Gloria) of Milton, NC, Paul Lea (Shaunell) of Danville, VA, Tommy Lea (Sharon) of Greensboro, NC and Kevin Lea (Beverly) of Danville, VA and ; her sisters: Helena Thomas of Baltimore, MD, Rosetta Watkins of Landover MD, Sheila Kirby of Danville, VA and Angela Cunningham (Henry) of Laurel, MD, close friends: Jean and Marylene, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: John, Inez, Monroe, David, Augusta, Stanley, Millie, Priscilla, Cynthia, Mariah, Esther and Nancy.
