Houston Malloy Bigelow Sr., 89, passed away on February 1, 2020 at SOVAH Danville. Born in Caswell County, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Long Bigelow. He was married to Mary Johnson Bigelow, who preceded in him in death.
He served as a Deputy Chief of Police for the Washington D.C. Metro Police Department "MPDC" for over 20 years. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching sports and playing cards.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons: Houston Bigelow Jr. (Lynn) and Sherwin Bigelow both of Washington D.C. and Kelvin Bigelow (Stephanie) of Brooklyn, New York; two daughters: Angela Campbell of Washington D.C. and Saundra Bigelow of Charlotte; one brother: Thomas Larry Lea (Thelma) of Roxboro, nine grandchildren: Marques, Deron, Aaron (Jacqueline), Brittany, Phillip (Burke), Christopher, Kevin, Melanie and Kelly eight great grandchildren: Tyler, Jayden, Chrishelle, Dylan (Burke), Cassidy, Zane, Chris Jr. (Campbell) and Dash Alexander (Bigelow). and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: James Bigelow, Eddie Lea and Mary McCrary.
