He was a flourishing student of the Atlanta Public School System and completed his formal education by graduating with a diploma from David T. Howard High School in 1955. As a vibrant young man he soon started his career with General Motors. Soon after, he met the ultimate love of his life Mrs. Juanita Gunn Norris, and married on May 24,1959. From their union came four daughters; Renita N. Russell, Pamela N. Burke (deceased), Debora N. Dupree (Maurice), Michelle N. Bowden (John) and one son Hubert Norris Jr. to all continue exemplifying his legacy of family, hard work, and loyalty.

"Papa", affectionately called by his grandchildren, was a devout sports fan! You could catch him every night tuned in to the sports channel rooting for various teams, but make no mistake, he was absolutely loyal to his Atlanta Falcons and Braves.
