Larry E.C. Law

On Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at SOVAH Health in Danville, VA, our beloved Larry E.C. Law departed this life suddenly. He was born July 27, 1952 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Walter Law and Elizabeth Jones Law; both preceded in him in death.

During this life, he attended Chatham High School in Pittsylvania County, VA. He was baptized at Baptist Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Rev. Dr. William Dixon on July 13, 2014. He worked as a farmer. Larry was also known for doing odd jobs and working on cars and riding his scooter. He always was sitting somewhere with his legs crossed just a shaking them. He was very loved and shared several memories with so many people. He was known as “Papa” or “Papa Doc”.  He was a previous employee of American Furniture of Martinsville, VA.

Those left to lovingly remember him are one son: Raymond Lamont Harris (Racheal) and a daughter: Lisa Michelle Harris both of Danville, VA. He also leaves seven grandchildren: DeQuan Raheam Marshay Harris (Asia) , Summer Michelle Jones, Nasaya Elixxis Rodgers, Rashaad Vaden, Lakevia Tarpley all of Danville, VA, Treavon Taylor and Malasia Witcher of Rocky Mount, VA, Jamontae Holland of Danville, VA; He also had three great grandchildren: Kamora Tarpley, Kaya Harris and Kyier Rashaad Vaden all of Danville, VA.

Larry also leaves three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Martin of Axton, VA, Barbara Ann Law and Judy Ann Jones both of Danville, VA; four brothers: Percy Law (Lethea) of Danville, VA, Leroy Law (Maxine) of Callands, VA, Russell Myers (Dorothy) of Danville, VA and James Day of Axton, VA. He was preceded in death by baby brother: Lindberg Law.

Larry had numerous amounts of nieces and nephews. He also had several great nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives. Larry had several friends. He also shared a special bond relationship with the mother of his children: Patricia Harris.
