Norma Jean (Henderson) Short

Norma Short was born on May 23, 1935 to the late DeWitt and Bertha Henderson. She was reared with 20 siblings, 19 preceded her in death, leaving one sibling - Pansy Stewart.

She was a devoted member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church where she sang in the Senior Choir, participated in the Missionary Circle and on the Culinary Committee.

Norma loved her church family.  She reared several of the community children, including nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren Dominik Short, Shenik Short, Marquis Wilson and Anderlicia Glass.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Angela Wilson and Donald Short both of Milton, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister Pansy Stewart; one sister-in-law, Katie Henderson; one brother-in-law, Weldon Short; a devoted caregiver and special family member Shannon McCain, and other relatives and friends.
