Robert Payton Thomas, 75, transitioned on March 27, 2022. He was born on January 14, 1947 to the Late Leroy Thomas and Lenabelle Thomas in Rockingham County.
Robert graduated High School and served in the United States Army. He then went to work as an engineer for the American Tobacco Company.
He enjoyed fishing and reading. He also enjoyed landscaping and 'piddling'. He most of all enjoyed taking care of his wife.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Bettie Watkins Thomas of the home, children: Thomas W. Williamson, Jr. (Latosha) of Orlando, Florida and Kizzy Bradsher (Ricky) of Whitsett, NC, siblings: Ruby Lee Reynolds of Greensboro, NC, Delthia T. Hill (Charles) of Reidsville, NC, Marlene T. Holland (Bruce) of Macon, GA, Dorothy Vaughn of Reidsville, NC, John Wesley Thomas of Greensboro, NC, Marvin Thomas (Annette) and Percy Lee Thomas of Reidsville, NC, Melvin Graves (Cynthia), Larry Graves (Lovetta), Janoff Graves, Neul Graves, Dwight Graves (Kacine), Loretta Brooks (Rev. Ronald), Constance Henderson (Wayne) and Angela Lipscomb (Phillip) all of Caswell County, NC, grandchildren: Douglas Clark, O'lawndra Bushnell (Jerome), Tyree Bradsher, Da'mon Coleman, Jahmal Willimson, Ahmad Williamson, Makinzzy Bradsher, great grandchildren: Damarien Whitted, Camille Bushness and Emoni Bushnell and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
