Steven Allen Stamps

Born September 21, 1970, Steven Allen Stamps departed this life on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at the Sovah Medical Center in Danville, Virginia. He was the son of Leevoine Law and was known by his family as “Stevie Dee.”

Steve attended Danville Public Schools and was employed by Rock-Ola Café and Raywood Landscaping. Steve was the team manager for the George Washington High School football and basketball teams for over 40 years. He was dedicated to the team and was at practices and games; rain, sleet, snow or hail. Even as his health began to decline, he remained committed to his beloved G. W. Steve was a member of the Silver Creek Baptist Church.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend Theodore and Catherine Stamps; aunt Kathy Towler; uncle Andre Stamps and cousin Dwayn Towler.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory are his daughter; Lolita Brandon (Dean); 2 grandchildren, Shanell Wagstaff and Lorenzo Allen Brandon; 2 step-grandchildren, Tia and Trevonte Brandon; a brother, Tyrone Stamps (Michelle); a sister, Vickie Pinchback (Andrew); 2 aunts, Evon Stamps and Clara Gunter; 2 uncles, Larry Stamps (Alfreda) and Theodore Stamps, Jr. (Connie); a “big brother”, Charles Parrish; 4 great-aunts; 1 greatuncle; 1 great-great aunt; dedicated caregivers, Tiffeney Fitzgerald and Lisa Boyd; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
