On the evening of December 28th, God called home our caring and hardworking husband, father, and son, Mr. Woodrow Wilson Robinson of Milton, NC from the Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville, NC.
Woodrow was born in Leasburg, NC on April 28,1945 to the late Louvenia Robinson and was the grandson of the late Robert “Bob” Robinson and late Hattie M. Candance McGhee Robinson. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Carie Robinson.
Woodrow was a graduate of Caswell County High, class of 1966. He worked for Brown and Root Construction Company for over 40 years until retirement. He was a faithful member of the Hamer Baptist Church, where he played the lead guitar in the Male Chorus. Woodrow played for a host of groups and choirs which include the Mustang Band, Macedonia Male Chorus, Mt. Olive Senior Choir, Dynamic Abraham Brothers, Fully Committed, Willie Banks and The Messengers and The Silver Stars of Blanch, NC.
On December 18, 1971 he married his sweetheart, Sophia Jeffreys, who survives. To cherish his memories are two children: Natasha Stewart (Tuck) of Ruffin, NC and Lamont Robinson of the home; two grandchildren: McKenzie and Kendrick Stewart, both of Ruffin, NC; one brother: Willie Robinson of Yanceyville, NC; one sister: Betty Robinson of Pelham, NC; two aunts: Gracie Robinson of Yanceyville, NC and Roberta McGhee of Leasburg NC; three sister-in-laws: Katie Stone, Lillie Clanton, and Hattie Jeffreys; two brother-in-laws: Marshall Jeffreys (Doris) and Floyd Jeffreys; a "work bubby" Milton Withers of Milton, NC; and a host of relatives and friends.
